I see from your journal that your cat is recovering and you’re remodeling the house. What else is new? 🙂
That is about it right now. We’ve been pretty focused on him the past couple of weeks. We ought to be doing more of the endless corrections to the house, but being on a schedule of either feeding or medicating every hour has made it difficult.
We started building furniture when we moved in. We wanted a bed with curtains, because there is a skylight in the master bath that shines light directly into my eyes when I lay in bed, so we built one. At that point, we had a drill and a circular saw. We bought a sander during construction. I think we did pretty well. 🙂 The tool collection has grown a lot since then.
I am (very slowly) learning to carve. The dry wall around the door that we replaced last year was badly damaged, so we needed extra-wide trim to cover it up. Pat milled the trim and I carved corner squares with celtic knot work. I really enjoyed it. I sat for 3 hours without getting up working on it. And that was before we quit smoking and I get restless very quickly, so that was a Very Long Time.
Sounds like you have done a lot of gardening. I was looking forward to it this year, but there is still a lot of work to do outside before I can really do much. I was going to do a container kitchen garden this year, but time has gotten away from me, and I haven’t been doing much cooking this summer anyway.
