Obviously, Dumas is feeling better. He just Elephanted down the stairs. 🙂
He is also tubeless. Yay!!!
We have a new dishwasher. The old one was the original to the house. House was built in ’83. We thought we had fixed its leak. It just went under the flooring instead. Now we have a water-expanded floor. Lovely. I hate our house. No, let me rephrase. I hate all of the problems we have had with our house. Water is not our friend.
We will not be replacing the floor at the moment. Or the cabinet that is also made of particle board and has also expanded at the bottom where it met the floor. We (read Pat) will need to go down to the crawlspace and see if the plywood sub floor is rotten. If it is, we will have to do it sooner rather than later. Falling through the floor is a bad thing. And I have had about all the joist sistering I can take. OTOH, at least now we know what we are doing and we wouldn’t have to custom cut blocking. I still don’t wanna.
Good lord, I can’t wait until we can build our house. At least then I will know who to blame.
Pat was trying to figure out who we pissed off. We let people in in traffic, we try to help people when they need it, we have to be flat desperate before we ask for help. So you would think our Karma would be pretty good, right? Then I had the scary thought, “What if this IS our good Karma working.” Shudder. Maybe plagues of locust would otherwise be following us around.
